Is the VACodes program free?
This program is free! Our main focus is on giving everyone the opportunity to learn the basics of coding.
Do I have to sign up?
You do not have to sign up. All you have to do is walk into the Cascades Library 5 minutes before the class starts. We don't want sign ups to become a hurdle in the way of learning!
What is the main coding language being taught?
At the moment, our program is only teaching Java.
When are the classes?
The classes will be held every other Wednesday in the Cascades Library at 6:30 PM. The exact dates are listed in the schedule on the main page.
What do we need to bring?
If you have a laptop, please bring it! If you do not have a laptop don't worry, you will be given a loaner laptop for the duration of the class.
